Landes Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides low cost and free training, education, life-saving skills and equipment to improve safety measures and empower our communities in emergency preparedness.
Rick has a passion for serving the community. His dream is to provide safer communities by supplying accessible equipment along with necessary training and education in saving lives.

A special tribute to my father…
In your honor…a veteran, police officer, firefighter, paramedic, 9/11 first responder, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Track Rescue Chief, and an Educator. Sometimes you think you couldn’t be any more proud of your father, and then special awards and commemorative items arrive in the mail from all who were blessed to have worked with, or was one of his students, or a friend. The dedication of serving others in his life is amazing and nothing short of remarkable. He left a legacy and it is our hope to continue that legacy through the support of donations in his name.
The Bill Landes Scholarship Award will benefit future EMT, Firefighter and Police students so they can pursue a career that my dad loved and held so dear to his heart. Thank you dad for your service, for your love and support. You will never be forgotten and you will always get the recognition that you deserve.
Thank you to all who have sent messages through text, email, phone calls and have lifted my family in prayer. Thank you to the State of Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission, Clay Township Fire Company, Owen County, Indianapolis Motor Speedway for all the special memories and recognition of my hero, my father, Bill Landes.
